The 2022 Alex Scott & Staff West Gippsland Football Netball Competition will kick off with a variety of blockbuster games. 2019 Senior Football Grand Finalists will open the season with Cora Lynn hosting Phillip Island whilst Warragul Industrials host Garfield in a Twilight time slot followed by Koo Wee Rup v Dalyston under lights.
The night games continue with Garfield hosting Nar Nar Goon in Round 2 and Korumburra-Bena taking on Dalyston in Round 3.
Easter Weekend will popular on the Bass Coast with Inverloch-Kongwak hosting Cora Lynn and Phillip Island taking on Kilcunda Bass in which are becoming exciting traditions for the WGFNC.
Tooradin-Dalmore will look to continue their strong 2021 campaign hosting Warragul Industrials in the third ANZAC Day Clash between the competitions newest clubs.
Traditional Rivals Bunyip and Garfield will once again play for the Tom Cleary perpetual cup in Round 3 at the Kennel.
The WGFNC will have a competition wide bye on Saturday, July 2 and return to complete the final 6 rounds before heading into a finals series kicking off on Saturday, 20 August.
The WGFNC Grand Final will be held on Saturday, 10 September 2022.
