MAIN AND CLINNICK TO COACH

The West Gippsland Football Netball Competition (WGFNC) is thrilled to announce David Main and Brent Clinnick as Co-Coaches for the Under 18 WGFNC Interleague team.

Main and Clinnick are welcomed into the WGFNC representative program with a wealth of coaching experience both inside and outside of the WGFNC, including multiple premierships as senior and assistant coaches.

Main’s who started as an assistant coach at Gembrook Cockatoo in 2011, moved on to Cora Lynn in 2014 where he had a variety of head coaching and assistant coaching roles in the seniors and U18s.

Main has 20 years experience as a player and a coach including 9 Grand Finals appearances.

Teaming up with Main, Brent Clinnick has a variety head coaching coaching experience including stints at Poowong, Devon Meadows, the Frankston Dolphins development team and the Dandenong Stingrays Under 16s and V-Line Cup squads respectfully. Clinnick has spent time an assistant coach at the Stingrays, Dolphins, and Phillip Island, including being involved in the Bulldogs Back-to-Back premierships in 2018-19 and most recently a minor premiership in 2021.

David and Brent are really excited to be leading the WGFNC representative football program. With the first training session commencing on Wednesday, 27 April at the Korumburra Showgrounds. An invitation process in consultation with the clubs will conduct in the coming weeks.
