WorkSafe Game of the Month favourites David Parkin and Ben Brown are hitting the road this weekend for the fourth WorkSafe Game of the Month on Sunday June 18.
Big crowds are expected at Cowes Recreation Reserve for the A-grade netball and senior football clashes between West Gippsland Football Netball Competition’s Phillip Island and Dalyston.
Held as a joint initiative with Netball Victoria, Parkin and Brown will be joined by a host of netball greats including former Diamond and Melbourne Kestrels Captain, Shelley O’Donnell, who will be on hand to meet the locals, share their sporting stories and enjoy the country atmosphere.
The match is one of eight WorkSafe Game of the Month games scheduled in leagues across the state this year, with the next match set to be held on Sunday July 16 between AFL Yarra Ranges’ Healesville and Olinda.
WorkSafe has been a major sponsor of country football since 2002 and country netball since 2005, and is excited to partner with AFL Victoria Country and the WorkSafe Country Netball League again in 2017.
Just as WorkSafe are committed to supporting country football, so too are they committed to a vision of every Victorian returning home safely every day.
